Winter breeze, a proper morning sweat, and a dinner list long enough to book out the whole week.
July is when Bali borrows its winter air from Australia — mornings actually feel like weather instead of a wall of heat. It’s the best window all year to build a day around Pererenan instead of hiding from it in the AC.
Do I really need to be up at 5:45am on a beach holiday? Yes. Here’s the day that makes it worth it.
Morning: Run It Off
Start on the Subak Uma jogging track, 5:45–6:30am, then walk straight into Runamuk Running Club. It’s a gem — pick up running tips from the regulars, or hit the wellness center for an ice bath, sauna, and jacuzzi. They do serve food on-site, but save your appetite: brunch is better a few minutes away.

Brunch at Baro Bakery
Pererenan has no shortage of good cafes, but Baro Bakery is the standout — excellent sourdough, good coffee, creative breads and pastries. Grab a loaf to go for family and friends.
- Sourdough — the reason people build mornings around this place
- Coffee — genuinely good, not an afterthought
- Breads & pastries — rotating and creative, worth asking what’s new ( Sai Oua Empanada is my favorite)
📍 Jl. Pantai Pererenan No.147, Pererenan · 🕒 Daily, 7:30am–4:30pm · 📱 +62 813-3994-8889
Afternoon: Earn Your Dinner
Climbing and a HYROX gym are both a short ride away — enough to work up a real appetite. Wind down with a sunset stroll on the beach, watching the kite surfers, before heading to dinner.
Dinner: Where the New Spots Are
This is where Pererenan stops being subtle. Three spots worth building the night around:
- Baro (at night) — the bakery switches gears to an American, soul-food-style, bread-focused menu
- Della Terra — an Italian osteria known for its charred, smoky pasta
- HOME by Chef Wayan — modern Indonesian, considered and well-plated
📍 Della Terra: Jl. Raya Tiyingtutul No.10, Pererenan · 🕒 Daily from 5:30pm
📍 HOME by Chef Wayan: Jl. Pantai Pererenan No.92 · 🕒 Wed–Mon, 11am–10pm · 📱 +62 812-3759-3530
Dessert, Non-Negotiable
Don’t skip it. Two options, depending on the mood:
- Ettore Gelato — authentic Italian gelato ( best in Bali currently)· 📍 Jl. Pantai Pererenan No.88 · 🕒 Daily, 11am–11pm
- MIYO — healthy, natural froyo with a self-serve toppings bar · 📍 Jl. Pantai Pererenan No.99 · 🕒 Tue–Sun, 3pm–11pm
The Verdict
Pererenan rewards a day that’s actually structured: sweat first, indulge all the way through to dessert. Run it, brunch it, earn it in the afternoon, then let the new dinner spots do the rest. Book Della Terra or HOME ahead — both fill up fast on a Friday.
The basics
- Best for: Early risers who want to earn their indulgence, and anyone chasing Pererenan’s newest openings
- Don’t miss: Baro Bakery’s sourdough, the Runamuk ice bath, Della Terra’s charred pasta
- Skip if: You want a slow, no-alarm-clock beach day
- Vibe: Active morning, indulgent night
